Ramith Hettiarachchi is a second-year undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa and studied at Ananda College. He was interested in electronics/tech during his school life which ultimately became his field of study at University as well. Ramith was mentored by Dr Rukshan Batuwita at our ScholarX Mentoring Program.
What motivated you to join the ScholarX program?
The best way to learn is to get some advice from a person who has experience in the same journey. Through SEF I got to know about many Sri Lankans all around the world, doing cool stuff in various domains. This encouraged me to apply for ScholarX.

You have an unlimited pot of money. How would you invest this to improve the education system in Sri Lanka?
I will hire notable individuals engaging in primary, secondary & tertiary education to get their expert advice as to how we could improve the education system. Policies will be assessed, and those will be taken into action!
