Introducing our new CEO, Dulan Dias

The sustainable Education Foundation (SEF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dulan S. Dias as our new Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Dulan is very passionate in contributing towards the advancement of the field of technology in Sri Lanka alongside deep interests in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems.

Meanwhile he holds comprehensive insight into the mobile and web space and has been involved in several projects building broad platforms and contributing in community development.

He is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Special) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenapura and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Colombo School of Computing degree.

Throughout his undergraduate years at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, he has contributed towards creating awareness of the importance of quality education by conducting various events targeting undergraduates and school students across the island. One of the most remarkable milestones in his journey so far is the founding of the conference titled “Aurora — Conference on Computer Science” in 2015, which has grown to be a trademark event organized by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura facilitating knowledge and experience in the state-of-the-art technologies. Furthermore he has led teams in to continuous victories at Inter-University Hackathons and similar competitions, bringing pride to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Dulan is also the co-founder and the current CEO of EchonLabs, an undergraduate based technology start-up, from 2016 to the present. We are very excited to have him on the team ready to take the future of SEF growing and proud! With his years of leadership experiences and vast technical skills to drive the organization forward. There are enormous opportunities for SEF that lie ahead and we could not be happier with Dulan joining our family and helping us to achieve continued success.

Dulan is a great communicator and a budding entrepreneur. He fathom that SEF is an organization with a unique vision and mission, and he is ready and able to help us progress further with what we have built and deliver to meet our end goal of making quality education freely available for everyone and ultimately curing the nation via educating everyone.
