What motivated you to join the ScholarX program?
I always wanted to find my potentials. So, I started volunteering and joining several societies that would help to find my skills and fine-tune them. Volunteering in different societies such as IEEE Sri Lanka section, Mozilla Campus club, Gavel Club of Uva Wellassa University has taught me a lot of things. I motivated to join ScholarX as I have seen a great community around it and I wanted to join them and gather knowledge and share them with my colleagues and juniors at the university and I was able to do that.

What are your plans after graduation?
Continue my higher studies and share my knowledge with my juniors
It’s 2029, what are you up to?
The first thing is ensuring my family get a better life.
And secondly, help to the local university students as SEF did to me and help them to find their new potentials. Also, contribute to the IT industry by doing some research.
You have an unlimited pot of money. How would you invest this to improve the education system in Sri Lanka?
Separate one area of the country and create an education system for the children of that area. The syllabus should neither existing nor foreign one. It should address issues in the current context.
E.g. Students do not get proper education on how to adapt to modern technologies. So that they tend to do inappropriate things.
Then based on the outcomes I’ll be able to expand my idea.
