What motivated you to join the ScholarX program?

I’ve been interested in research and pushing boundaries in my field for a while and I thought it would be a good stepping stone for future research opportunities.

Your Top 3 learnings from the ScholarX program?

The main thing I got was guidance on how to apply for research and how I should prepare myself for a research project.

I also learnt the importance of networking.

Finally, I got a lot of subject-specific guidance from my mentor.

What are your plans after graduation?

I’m not 100% sure but currently I’m planning to pursue higher education.

It’s 2029, what are you up to?

Provided that I haven’t been killed in the robot uprising by 2029 I’ll be doing something AI related that would later result in the robot uprising.

You have an unlimited pot of money. How would you invest this to improve the education system in Sri Lanka?

I would probably mostly invest it in increasing resources in schools, especially in terms of tech. Also, post-graduate opportunities in Sri Lanka are very low. So increasing the quality and quantity of those would be useful as well.
