What encouraged you to pursue your research topic?

Interest in Data Engineering and my job in Sri Lanka.

What is the name of your current institute?

The University of Melbourne.

Where do you find your best inspiration for your work?

A constant need to learn something new every day drives me.

What’s one of your biggest personal achievements so far?

Coming as best A/L results in school, Batch 5th in University field selection examination among best people in the country in mathematics stream.

What lessons would you share with a budding researcher?

Research on what you are truly passionate about.

What motivated you to be a researcher?

Need for personal achievements.

If there is a chance, will you help build research in Sri Lanka?

Definitely.

According to your opinion, what are the changes that the Sri Lankan education system needs to do, in order to meet the requirement of the international industry and academia?

Sri Lankan education is really good. No matter what people say about it. The only issue I see is it takes too long. Need to remove all the gaps, need to allow fast track for talented students (ex: double pass).
